3 weeks later....

I'm healthy again. Good LORD I must have really done something very bad to deserve 3 weeks of bronchitis. I highly recommend acupuncture - think that's what finally kicked it. And no, it doesn't hurt.

So, good news - I'll be participating in the Rehoboth Paint Out this June. Can't wait! It's a weekend long Plein Aire event (painting outside around town).

Other art news - 12 artists including myself will be painting Adirondack chairs for the Children's Beach House BBQ happening this summer. The chairs will be auctioned off to raise money for the charity.

I've applied to the Rehoboth Outdoor Art Show taking place this August. Crossing my fingers for a hard-to-get spot.

Sedona, a restaurant in Bethany Beach, will be displaying 10 of my paintings next month for their opening.

Finishing up a painting right now and will be taking several to my website guru this week for prints/website posting. Here's some crappy pictures of the last three I've finished. Watch the website for better pics.

Ah, optimism.

Not only did I not run 15 yesterday, I barely made it out of bed. Lord, I'm sick. Did manage to paint for a little while till it got the best of me.

More later.

The good thing about being sick...

is that you don't have to run 15 miles. That's what our long run was today, and a chest cold has made a yearly appearance for me. My lungs now feel like what I imagine Sheridan's feel like every day. I'm coughing like a Camel smoker, or Pall Mall if I'm comparing to Sheridan. I'll give the 15 a go tomorrow and hope I don't need oxygen halfway through.

If you've never been....

to the Sussex County Ladies' Shrimp Feast, then hmmm....feast your eyes on these pics. I know this has nothing to do with "art" per se, but it is "art" in its own right. Kind of. I promise I'll write about art next time. But now you need to see these. The names have been omitted to protect the innocent. Or not so innocent.
