Lots to catch  up on. This is one of six plein air paintings from the 2012 Plein Air, Coastal Delaware event in May 2012. All the paintings I completed were done solely with a palette knife, and the week was more fun and more relaxing than I counted on. I'm pretty happy with what came out of it. This painting is from the Great Dune Overlook. It's a pretty pathway that leads up a hill to an even better view.

This is also from the Great Dune Overlook, one of the best views in Sussex County. It's peaceful and amazingly beautiful. Many people miss it because you have to walk up a pretty long grade to see it. Once you're there, it's worth every step.
This one is out of order - not done in plein air, but in the studio, and with brushes, not a knife. I came across these rocks on a late fall day when the light was bright, the shadows were sharp and the ocean was gorgeous and calm.
Not my best side...LOL....but a shot from the plein air event, painting at the art league.
Cleaned up and off to the gala, with the finished pieces.

This is from Broadkill Beach, looking out over the marsh. Windy and cold day, but beautiful light.
