This is a great little article about romantic relationships. Some of the best advice he gives is that a relationship shouldn't alter you and that your romantic partner should be your best friend. If you wouldn't put up with horrible behavior from a friend, but you'll put up with it from a romantic interest, there's a problem. It only took me 50 years to learn this.
