Ginko Biloba

I'm up to 44 mini's, yay! The group of artists at Celebration Studio's have been working daily, creating lots of good energy in the studios. It really is nice, working together. I'm hoping to get quite a few more cranked out soon, so I can be in front of the eight ball instead of behind it.

I keep a calendar, and religiously check it. My memory is definitely not what it used to be, and if I don't write things down and schedule myself, my mind just "flushes" information. Last night I didn't check my calendar for today. Turns out I had an appointment to cover a fitness class for a friend, down in Ocean View. The class started at 8:30. I checked my calendar at 8:15. Ugh. I was still in my jammies. So now I feel like a real schlep for letting her down. A profuse apology and many mea culpa's are in my future. I heard on the news the other day that memory peaks at age 22 and starts to decline after 27. Whoa.....no wonder mine is awful.

Wiiiiiiiii!

Oh my gosh. I can hardly move my right arm. Haley got the Wii for her birthday, and I have totally exhausted my right arm playing the *x?>!! thing. It's addictive and it's physical, and I hope I don't end up in physical therapy.

Lots of paintings getting cranked out at Celebration Studios. Whoooo! I'll post some new pics soon.

Mini update

Here's a few new mini's. Snowdays are good for painting.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the condition of the economy
The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Wow!

The weathermen (weatherpeople?) got it right, we actually got snow. It's a really cool snowstorm too, because it's really windy, so the wind is blowing the snow sideways. There were just 7 deer in the front yard and the wind was freaking them out. We've even got icicles on the windows. A good day to stay INSIDE, thought this is messing up my running plans. Should be doing hill work today. (Am I really disappointed I'm missing that? Hmm.) Tomorrow is another day. And I'm getting quit a bit of painting done, so THAT is good!

March - the longest month of the year

Don't ya think? I keep the faith because I know daylight savings time starts this month, which is a very, very good thing, and because spring falls in this month somewhere too. The daffodils are popping (crazy little things) and I saw some beautiful yellow crocus on my run yesterday. However, 31 days is a long month, and this month is usually cold and snowy. So while spring is hinted at, the snow and cold tend to be bossier in March. The weather today is calling for snow and lots of it. Being in Sussex County, I'll believe it when I see it. We're so close to the ocean, we don't get a lot of snow. But who knows.

My daughter turns 14 this month, so that's another good thing. That is, as long as she doesn't turn into a crazy hormonal teenage girl. So far, so good.

The mini's are coming along well, and I'm getting art shows lined up for the "season". I'm looking at this month as the last chance to really hole-up inside and get as much done as possible.
